Tri-Edge has created just the tool for the job, The SMOOTH-IT which was designed to effectively and evenly smooth out the edge on film installation tools (bondos, speed wings, contours, teflon cards, hard cards, easy reaches, blades and Tri-Edges just to name a few. It’s easy and inexpensive to use. Gentle sliding of the tool thru the channel back and forth applying an even but SOFT pressure against the mat. Excessive force and speed against the mat will create high heat due to friction which can MELT the edge of the tool. It’s recommend to use the SMOOTH-IT on your tools at least once a day. You will save time, material, and your tools will last longer. Mat replacement kits are available in two textures: Grey A107-3G: Fine mat, ideal for removing small or lite scratches of the tool. Black A107-3B: Medium mat that works best and faster on big or deep scratch.
